When I was 27 years old, I decided I wanted a change in my life. I had worked in the corporate world and was ready for something new. I woke up one day and felt God say, "You are going to be a teacher." I laughed. Three years later and a lot of hard work later, I stepped foot into my first classroom as a 2nd grade teacher and 6 years later I still get the jitters every morning when I open my classroom door. I love what I do! I caught the bug for training teachers while on an educational trip to Cambodia with Evangel University in 2009. A trip to Guatemala in 2011 to an orphanage school confirmed what I wanted to do. I realized that while I had a deep passion for educating kids, I had an even deeper passion to help train teachers on the field, both home and abroad.
I am currently pursuing my Masters in Literacy at Evangel University and teaching 3rd grade for Neosho Public Schools in Neosho, Missouri. I have a wonderful, supportive and loving husband, a stubborn and sassy 16 year old, 4 cats, 2 dogs and a hamster. Life with us is never boring!
